IBV researcher Alberto Ferreras presented yesterday the results of the European project IdICT at the AAATE Congress in Sheffield (UK). IdICT project has developed a training platform with materials and methodologies to facilitate the use of apps for people with intellectual disabilities, with the aim of improving their autonomy and integration in society.
AAATE is Association for the Advancement of Assistive Technology in Europe, adressed to to stimulate the advancement of assistive technology for the benefit of people with disabilities, including elderly people. At the 2017 congress, more than 200 works are presented aimed at improving the quality of life of the elderly and disabled through technology.
Besides IBV, in idICT project are participating Coordinadora de Centros Ocupacionales de la Comunidad Valenciana (COPAVA), as coordinator, and CUDV Draga, Hrvatska udruga radnih terapeuta, Consorzio Solidarietà Sociale Forlì-Cesena società cooperativa sociale, Westfalische Hochschule Gelsenkirchen, Bocholt, Recklinhausen and Cercigui.
