The Instituto de Biomecánica de Valencia (IBV) undertakes tailored projects, the so-called contracted R&D, to generate criteria for the design and development of products, services, materials, systems, etc. The IBV develops projects, but also participates in R&D initiatives undertaken by clients and related entities.

R&D projects are carried out by the IBV individually or in accordance with specific needs raised by clients. Usually, these initiatives are connected with the development and implementation process of biomechanical studies of products and their interaction with users.
