The Instituto de Biomecánica de Valencia (IBV) undertakes inspection and testing within the framework of a quality management system – UNE-EN-ISO/IEC-17025 (2005) –. The IBV offers a broad range of services, for which it is accredited, to assess and guarantee the performance characteristics of products and materials (biomechanical function, safety, healthiness, induced comfort, etc.).

The following types of services are offered:

• Normative and functional tests, aiming to analyse the functionality, healthiness, ergonomics and safety of products.
• The IBV test certificates offer a well-known differentiation to those products standing out for the excellence of their properties.
• Other certificates: IBV provides its clients with specialised assessment and specific trials to accredit products before third regulators. Among them are the IAAF Certification of track and field facilities of athletics; the ITF Certification of court surfaces; the ENAC Accreditation of sports facilities, multifunctional sports floors, surfaces in children’s play facilities and natural and artificial grass in lab and in situ; and the CE Marking of medical devices (surgical implants, assistive technologies, orthopaedic footwear, healthcare furniture).
