The Instituto de Biomecánica de Valencia (IBV) is an active participant in national, European and international technical standardisation committees. Standardisation related activities have two main objectives:
- Technical objectives: the IBV monitors standardisation processes for the correct implementation of legislation and to provide its clients with up-to-date information. On the other hand, the IBV shares its criteria with experts from other centres and institutions and identifies new legal opportunities through its R&D activities.
- Strategic objectives: the IBV aims to reinforce its national and international reputation among its clients and the institutions it interacts with, strengthening the value of its services. Besides, the IBV watches over the national industry’s interests, as a sound expert in its fields of action.
