IdICT project second meeting

12 May 2016

Forli hosted the second meeting of this European initiative.

IBV has taking part in the second consortium meeting of the IdICT European project, that took part in Forlí (Italy).

The main goal of this project is the development of a training program for the implementation of new technologies by people with intellectual disabilities. Different traing activities and materials are going to be developed, in order to empower cognitive disabled people in the use of ICT applications to improve their autonomy, social integration and welfare. Furthermore, support materials for professionals, caregivers and relatives to support users in this process will be developed.

During the meeting the main applications that will be part of the training materials (including some so known as Facebook or WhatsApp) were selected. The conceptual design of the web platform that will host all these contents was also developed.

The consortium members also had the opportunity to visit the work and rehabilitation centers for people with intellectual disability that are part of the Consorzio Solidarietà Sociale Forlì-Cesena, seeing in practice the methods and techniques used to improve the quality of life of these people.

In addition to IBV, the IdICT Consortium is formed by the Coordinadora de Centros Ocupacionales de la Comunidad Valenciana (COPAVA), acting as coordinator and CUDV Draga (Eslovenia), HURT (Croacia) , Consorzio Solidarietà Sociale (Italia), Westfalische Hochschule Gelsenkirchen (Alemania) and Cercigui (Portugal).

This project is supported by the European Union through the Erasmus + call.
