Mobile device to improve the adaptation of people with intellectual disability to the workplace
For everybody, work is one of the most important factors for social integration and personal stability. Amongst people with a disability, those who have functional limitations of the intellectual kind usually suffer from additional difficulties in attaining and maintaining a job.
Aims
For everybody, work is one of the most important factors for social integration and personal stability. Amongst people with a disability, those who have functional limitations of the intellectual kind usually suffer from additional difficulties in attaining and maintaining a job.
The project’s main goal is to foster adaptation to the job for people with a slight or moderate intellectual disability, based on the development and application of an ICT system in real employment experiences.
The ICT system to be developed will be based on a desktop application, upon which the system’s uses will be created and administered, as well as a portable application of the PDA type, with which the end user will be able to access said uses.
Objetivos
1. Define the profiles and needs of the system’s potential users.
2. Define the ICT system’s requirements based on the end users’ needs.
3. Design and develop an ICT prototype based on the design requirements.
4. Validate the ICT system developed in real job experiences.
5. Raise awareness about the ICT system’s advantages among the potential end users.
6. Ensure compliance with the project’s aims and deadlines.
