Instituto de Biomecanica (IBV) hosted last 25th of October, the kick-off meeting of the project Online training course on design of human-centred workplaces (TRAIN4HCWORK, ref. 2018-1-ES01-KA203-050887). This project is supported by the Erasmus + program of the European Union.
The main objective of the project TRAIN4HCWORK is the development and implementation of a new online course (in English, Spanish, German and French) to strengthen the knowledge and skills of targeted professionals in the design of human-centred workplaces.
Human centered workplaces are a key essential part of the factories of the future due to important advantages: increase flexibility, agility and competitiveness; reduce occupational and work-related diseases, and also absenteeism and sick level caused by injuries.
To achieve human centered workplaces some key actions are required: automated and continuous adaptation of work environment to workers; integrate Health and Safety at work issues with production issues; train professionals in the design of workplaces, processes and machinery.
The aim of the project is to contribute to this purpose.
IBV is the coordinator of the initiative where are also the following partners:

- Structo – Structo Ingenieros Consultores S.L.
The online course resulting of the project Train4HCWork, will be focused on the design of human-centred workplaces, to strengthen the knowledge and skills of targeted professionals, mainly engineers responsible for the design of working environments, processes and organization, design and ergonomic verification of machinery, and health and safety professionals.
