Online course Biomechanical assessment of foot pathologies, design and manufacture of orthotic solutions
The EU Leonardo project TrainOrthot has been successfully completed two years ago with the development of a transnational online course designed to provide tailor-made vocational education and training for professionals in the field of foot pathology therapy (see here the related news item).
As one of the consortium partners in the project, ISPO is pleased to announce the launch of the e-course fourth edition on “Biomechanical Assessment of Foot Pathologies, Design and Manufacture of Orthotic Solutions”.
Being targeted at prosthetists, orthotists and orthopaedic technologists, the course intends to enhance the proficiency in the diagnostic of the main foot pathologies and orthopaedic prescriptions, with a special focus on the design and manufacture of footbed, cast and shoe solutions.
We invite interested professionals to consult further details on the course content and method, fees and any other relevant information.
Starting on 15th October 2018, the course covers 55 hours of online training. Participants can connect at all times during a period of 3 months, benefiting from theoretical and practical exercises, interactive involvement with other students, online support and guidance by academic tutors and continuous assessments of the progress made. A course certificate will be upon successful completion of all modules.
